Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Year 5 Teacher for a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning community.

We welcome experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about helping pupils reach their full potential, with strong curriculum knowledge and excellent classroom management. The role is based in Nottingham and involves collaboration with the school team.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • Recent primary teaching experience, ideally KS2.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons across the National Curriculum.
  • Prepare pupils for the transition into Year 6.
  • Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to individual needs.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

You'll be joining a supportive and inclusive school that values high expectations, creativity and pupil wellbeing. This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT looking to join a collaborative school community and make a real impact within Upper Key Stage 2.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging Year 5 lessons across the National Curriculum
