Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Year 5 Teacher for a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham, starting September on a long‑term basis. This role suits an experienced teacher or an ECT seeking a collaborative school community.

You will plan and deliver Year 5 lessons, assess pupil progress and tailor teaching to individual needs, working closely with TAs and the wider team to support pupil wellbeing and attainment.

Qualifications

  • QTS is required.
  • Recent primary teaching experience, ideally KS2.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about helping pupils reach their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons across the National Curriculum.
  • Prepare pupils for the transition into Year 6.
  • Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to individual needs.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Year 5 lessons across the National Curriculum

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
