Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a Primary School Teacher for Chesterfield to cover day-to-day and longer-term supply assignments within a large multi-academy trust.

Roles start in September with flexible short-term and longer-term opportunities across several primary schools. Ongoing support from Connex Education and potential for permanent roles where vacancies arise.

Qualifications

• Experience in a classroom or education setting.
• At least 3 months’ experience working with young people.
• Flexible and reliable approach to short-term and long-term supply work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across primary year groups in line with school expectations.
• Provide effective classroom cover for short-term and longer-term teacher absence.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
• Adapt teaching and behaviour management approaches to meet pupils’ needs.
• Support pupil progress by maintaining high expectations for learning and conduct.
• Follow school policies, including safeguarding, behaviour and assessment procedures.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and Connex Education regarding assignments.

This supply teaching role offers flexible short-term and longer-term opportunities, with the potential for permanent work where a suitable vacancy arises. About the Role / Setting

You will work across primary schools within the trust, covering day-to-day lessons as well as longer-term teaching assignments when required. The schools are seeking adaptable teachers who can engage pupils across different primary age groups and maintain a positive classroom environment. You will be supported by Connex Education throughout your placement and matched to opportunities that suit your availability and experience.
