Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in Sheffield is seeking Primary School Teachers for flexible supply roles across several schools within a large multi-academy trust. The positions offer day-to-day and longer-term teaching assignments, with potential for permanent roles where vacancies arise.

You will be supported by Connex Education through placement matching and ongoing CPD via Academize, plus wellbeing resources and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a classroom or education setting.
• Minimum 3 months’ experience with young people.
• Flexible and reliable for short-term and long-term supply work.
• Right to work in the UK and an up-to-date DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across primary year groups in line with school expectations.
• Provide effective classroom cover for short-term and longer-term absences.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
• Adapt teaching and behaviour management to meet pupils’ needs.
• Support pupil progress by maintaining high expectations for learning and conduct.
• Follow school policies including safeguarding, behaviour and assessment procedures.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and Connex Education about assignments.

Location: Sheffield | Pay: £160 to £229 per day | Contract: Short-term and long-term supply assignments

Connex Education is working with a large multi-academy trust to recruit Primary School Teachers for schools across Sheffield. The supply teaching roles offers flexible short-term and longer-term opportunities, with the potential for permanent work where a suitable vacancy arises. About the Role / Setting

You will work across primary schools within the trust, covering day-to-day lessons as well as longer-term teaching assignments when required. The schools are seeking adaptable teachers who can engage pupils across different primary age groups and maintain a positive classroom environment. You will be supported by Connex Education throughout your placement and matched to opportunities that suit your availability and experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working in a classroom environment or similar education setting.


• At least 3 months’ experience working with young people.


• A flexible and reliable approach to short-term and long-term supply work.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.


• Proof of right to work in the UK.


• A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new enhanced DBS check.
