Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting Supply Teachers to work across primary schools in Chaddesden, Oakwood, Spondon and the wider DE21 area. You will deliver planned lessons and maintain a positive classroom environment while ensuring pupils receive high-quality teaching in the absence of their usual class teacher.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Supply Teacher – Primary Schools

Chaddesden, Oakwood, Spondon & Surrounding Areas (DE21)

£150-£190 per day | PAYE | Paid weekly

Connex Education is currently recruiting Supply Teachers to work across primary schools in Chaddesden, Oakwood, Spondon and the wider DE21 area.

The new academic year is now underway, and local schools are continuing to require reliable teachers for day-to-day cover, short-term assignments and longer-term placements.

Whether you’re looking for regular work throughout the week or greater flexibility around your availability, we have opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver planned lessons, maintain a positive classroom environment and ensure pupils continue to receive high-quality teaching in the absence of their usual class teacher.

Person Specification

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent experience teaching within a UK primary school or completing a UK teacher training placement.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence teaching across different year groups and adapting to new environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, reliable approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

All roles are subject to satisfactory background checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
