Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Blackburn from October half term 2026. This is a full academic year maternity cover role for the 2026/2027 year, with responsibilities including delivering high-quality lessons, supporting pupil progress, and contributing to the school community.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Primary National Curriculum, maintain an inclusive classroom, assess pupil

Qualifications

  • QTS with recent primary school teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to raising standards and improving pupil outcomes.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join their team from October half term 2026. This position is a full academic year maternity cover role for the 2026/2027 academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact within a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supporting pupil progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
