Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Darwen is recruiting a Primary Teacher for the 2026/2027 academic year, starting after October half-term to cover a maternity leave. The role is in a mainstream primary setting with Main Pay Scale salary and a full academic year commitment.

The ideal candidate is either an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with passion for delivering outstanding education and safeguarding pupil welfare.

Qualifications

• QTS required for UK primary teaching.
• Experience teaching in a UK primary school preferable.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum planning and assessment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
