Job summary

Teaching Personnel is working with a fantastic primary school in Central Bristol seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teacher to join their team. This is a full-time role inside KS1 or KS2, with planning, delivery and assessment of engaging lessons as a key responsibility.

You will differentiate learning to meet all pupils’ needs, support teaching assistants, and contribute to inclusive practice and pupil progress.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and teamwork are essential for engaging with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Experience implementing inclusive practice to meet a range of needs is required.
  • A reflective practitioner who maintains high expectations for behaviour and attainment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging, inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and EHCP pupils.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants to support learning and manage behaviour.
  • Track pupil progress, complete assessments and contribute to reports.

Primary Teacher – Central Bristol – September 2025

Hours: Full time (5 days per week)
Location: Central Bristol

We are working with a fantastic primary school in Central Bristol that is seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teacher to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is keen to make a real difference to children’s learning and progress in a supportive, forward thinking school. The school has a strong, collaborative staff team and offers excellent opportunities for professional development.

The Role
  • Full class teacher responsibility within KS1 or KS2 (year group to be discussed at interview)
  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging, inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs
  • Working closely with teaching assistants to support children with SEN, including pupils with EHCPs
  • Using positive behaviour management strategies to create a calm, purposeful learning environment
  • Tracking and recording pupil progress, completing assessments and contributing to reports
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents or carers
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, CPD and school events
We Are Looking For
  • A qualified Primary Teacher with QTS (ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply)
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice
  • Experience working across KS1 and/or KS2
  • A reflective practitioner with high expectations for behaviour and attainment
  • A positive, enthusiastic and nurturing approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting children with a range of needs
