Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Student Development Coach to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in welcoming primary schools around North Durham, with September start. The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with flexible supply work, long-term placements and permanent opportunities.

As a Student Development Coach, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and enriching learning experiences for pupils.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people in any capacity (required)
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development (required)
  • A creative, energetic and engaging approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Reliability, adaptability and a positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
  • Working with small groups or individual pupils to boost confidence and attainment
  • Encouraging participation through creative, practical and interactive activities
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs where required
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and inspiring learning environment
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
