Job summary

Downsbrook Primary School in Worthing is seeking a positive, caring SEND teaching assistant to join a friendly, supportive team.

The role involves supporting the class teacher, assisting children including those with special educational needs, and undertaking Midday Meals duties; hours are 27.5 per week over 5 days, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Duties require a caring, positive and patient approach.
• Ability to work flexibly with a class teacher and SEN pupils.
• Ability to support children with additional and/or special educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in daily activities and learning.
• Provide support to pupils with SEND within the classroom.
• Undertake Midday Meals duties as required.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
