Job summary

Downsbrook Community Primary School, part of the Schoolsworks Academy Trust, is seeking a dedicated part-time, temporary post for 5 hours per week (lunchtime duties) at Downsbrook Primary School in West Sussex. The role supports safeguarding and pupil welfare, with DBS and references checks required.

The post is a temporary contract until July 2027, with a salary of NJC Grade 2, SCP 3 (£24,796 p.a. pro rata) and a welcoming, collaborative school environment. Visits to the school are encouraged.

Requirements

• Previous experience of working in a similar role and/or relevant training is desirable, but not essential.

We are a small primary School with 311 pupils and we are part of the Schoolsworks Academy Trust. We work in partnership with our Trust schools as well as our locality group of schools. Contract and Compensation

• Contract: Temporary until July 2027
• Hours: 5 hours per week over 5 days, 38 weeks per year (term time only), 12.00pm to 1.00pm
• Salary: NJC Grade 2, SCP 3, £24,796 p.a. pro rata. Actual starting salary: £2,822 p.a.
