Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND in a specialist setting in Oldbury. You will work with children aged 4–11 with severe and complex needs, assisting 1:1 and in small groups, and helping deliver individualised learning activities.

The role is offered on a daily supply basis with opportunities for longer placements. A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is required (not Health and Social Care); you should be compassionate, flexible, and eager to make

About the School

The Role

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are:

• Experienced in supporting children with SEND
• Flexible and confident in adapting to a variety of needs and routines
• Proactive, using initiative to support learning in the classroom
• Based locally in the Oldbury area or able to commute easily
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification for Teaching Assistants- Not Health and Social Care

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include:

• Supporting pupils with severe and complex needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with individualised learning activities
• Supporting pupils with communication, engagement, and personal development
• Helping to maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment

Working Pattern

This position is offered on a daily supply basis, providing flexibility to suit your schedule. There are also opportunities for longer-term placements, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with both pupils and staff.
