Job summary

Castle Newnham is recruiting a part-time Teaching Assistant - SEND (Primary) to support our pupils with special educational needs in the primary phase. You will work alongside teaching staff to identify strategies that help learners overcome barriers and may deliver literacy or numeracy support to small groups.

Applicants should have experience in education or be ready to develop in the role. A DBS clearance and two satisfactory references are required before commencement.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be willing to undertake a DBS clearance.
• The Academy must receive two satisfactory references before starting employment.
• Experience in a similar role within the education system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in classroom settings to identify and develop strategies to support pupils in overcoming barriers to their learning.
• Deliver programmes of support for literacy or numeracy to small groups of pupils.
