Job summary

Aspire People in Northampton is seeking a dedicated Primary SEND Teacher to join our partner specialist school. You will deliver tailored lessons for pupils with autism, communication and other needs, fostering inclusive learning.

You will collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and families, set EHCP targets, monitor progress, and support wellbeing. QTS and SEND experience essential; commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within a primary or specialist setting.
  • Excellent classroom practice and strong behaviour management skills.
  • Patient, adaptable and resilient; passionate about inclusive education.
  • Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.
  • Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the academy and ongoing curriculum development.

Here at Aspire People, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and committed Primary SEND Teacher to join our partner specialist school located in Northampton.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering outstanding education for children with special educational needs and disabilities. You will play a key role in creating a positive, engaging and highly supportive learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Pupils at the school have a range of additional needs including autism, communication and interaction difficulties, sensory needs and complex learning needs. We are looking for someone who can adapt learning to meet individual needs while fostering confidence, independence and achievement.

Key Responsibilities
