Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEND school in the Hodge Hill area of Birmingham, seeking a confident Primary SEND Teacher with QTS to join their team for a long-term role.

You will support pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties and complex learning needs, manage challenging behaviour with positive strategies, and adapt lessons to EHCP targets. £170–£220/day, ASAP start, 4 or 5 days per week.

Qualifications

• QTS – essential for the role.
• Strong SEND experience in a school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SLD and complex needs.
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and using positive strategies.
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet EHCP targets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons and activities suited to pupils with SLD and complex learning needs.
• Support progression towards EHCP targets and track progress.
• Use Positive Behaviour approaches to manage behaviour effectively.
• Create a calm, patient and resilient learning environment.

Role: Long-term Primary SEND Teacher

TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEND school in the Hodge Hill area that is looking for an experienced Primary SEND Teacher to join their team.

The school is looking for a confident and compassionate teacher with strong SEND experience, particularly supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and behavioural difficulties.

The successful Primary SEND Teacher will:

• Hold QTS – essential
• Have strong experience working within SEND settings
• Have experience supporting pupils with SLD and complex learning needs
• Be confident managing challenging behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies
• Be able to adapt lessons and activities to meet individual EHCP targetsHave a calm, patient and resilient approach
• Be available for either 4 or 5 days per week
