Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary pupils with SEND in day-to-day supply cover in Ilkeston (DE7). You’ll aid learning access, independence and confidence in the classroom.

Role involves collaboration with teachers, SENCO and support staff, plus opportunities for training and development through My-Progression.

Qualifications

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or experience supporting primary-aged children with SEND.
• An understanding of needs such as autism, ADHD and learning difficulties.
• Knowledge of the primary curriculum and ways to adapt learning.
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliability and flexibility for day-to-day cover.

Responsibilities

• Supporting primary pupils with SEND individually and in small groups.
