The Graduate Network in Smethwick is seeking an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism, ADHD and other educational needs. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to access lessons and achieve individual goals, while developing emotional regulation and engagement with learning.

The role offers immediate start until July 2027 at a primary school in Smethwick, with daily rates between £90 and £101. DBS required and experience in SEN is desirable.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a psychology-related degree (2:2 or above).
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Enhanced DBS with children's barred list check required before starting.
• SEN knowledge including autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Personal qualities: patience, resilience and calm confidence.
• Experience in SEN support or related settings is desirable but not essential.

Aufgaben

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies to support emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Help pupils with ADHD develop concentration and task completion strategies.
• Support pupils with autism using visual schedules and clear instructions.
• Deliver activities that develop emotional awareness, social skills and positive relationships.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to follow support plans and monitor progress.
