Job summary

Milk Education is seeking passionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in primary schools throughout Sunderland, South Tyneside, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Durham. Roles include 1:1 and small group support, working with SEND pupils and assisting with phonics, literacy and numeracy.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or adults in a professional capacity within the last 5 years.
• Teaching Assistant experience is desirable.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience supporting SEND pupils is advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, reliable and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
• Assisting with phonics, literacy and numeracy
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
• Working alongside teachers and school staff
