Job summary

Milk Education is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to join welcoming primary schools across Sunderland, South Tyneside, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Durham. Roles include supporting pupils in EYFS to KS2, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and small group support, phonics and literacy/numeracy interventions, and promoting positive behaviour. A positive, reliable and adaptable approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a primary school or education setting.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is advantageous.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Positive, reliable and adaptable approach.
• Experience working with children, young people or adults in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and development.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support.
• Assist with phonics, literacy and numeracy interventions
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Work closely with teachers and school staff.
• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
