Job summary

Milk Education invites applications for Teaching Assistant roles across Primary Schools in Sunderland, South Tyneside, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Durham. The positions cover EYFS, KS1 and KS2, with 1:1 and group support, and a focus on SEND and literacy/numeracy development.

There are both full-time and part-time opportunities, with a commitment to safeguarding and safe recruitment standards. Milk Education provides support from a Primary Consultant and access to Milk Academy CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or adults in a professional capacity within the last 5 years.
• Teaching Assistant experience is desirable.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience supporting SEND pupils is advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, reliable and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
• Assisting with phonics, literacy and numeracy
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
• Working alongside teachers and school staff
