Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in Primary Schools across Sunderland, South Tyneside, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Durham. Roles include 1:1 and small group support in a SEND-friendly environment.

We welcome applicants with experience in education or related settings, and Level 2/3 TA qualifications are desirable. Competitive pay with flexible full-time and part-time opportunities across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or adults in a professional capacity within the last 5 years.
• Teaching Assistant experience is desirable
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience supporting SEND pupils is advantageous
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, reliable and adaptable approach

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
• Assisting with phonics, literacy and numeracy
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
• Working alongside teachers and school staff
