Job summary

Milk Education is seeking Teaching Assistants for primary schools across Sunderland, South Tyneside, Gateshead, North Tyneside, and Durham. You will support pupils across EYFS to KS2, providing 1:1 and small group help, with a focus on SEND and core literacy and numeracy.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or adults in a professional capacity within the last 5 years.
• Teaching Assistant experience is desirable.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience supporting SEND pupils is advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, reliable and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Providing 1:1 and small group support.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs.
• Assisting with phonics, literacy and numeracy.
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
• Working alongside teachers and school staff.
