Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in the Newark region is seeking a dependable Primary Teacher for regular supply roles across local primary schools.

You will deliver engaging lessons to KS1 and KS2, align with school plans and support pupils including those with SEND. A genuine commitment to safeguarding and a DBS on Update Service is preferred. This role offers flexible supply opportunities and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• QTS with experience teaching in UK primary schools.
• Strong knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curricula.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2.
• Follow lesson plans and adapt activities to pupils’ needs.
• Maintain a positive classroom with clear expectations.
• Support pupils with SEND within mainstream classrooms.
• Provide useful feedback to the class teacher.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and policies.

What does the role involve?

• Delivering engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2.

• Following each school s safeguarding procedures and policies.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in UK primary schools.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A caring, enthusiastic approach and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, reliability and flexibility.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
