Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming primary school in Harlow. You’ll provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them thrive.

Education experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome candidates from care, support, youth work, childcare, or related backgrounds. You’ll work with teachers and the SENCOs to deliver tailored support while upholding safeguarding.

What You'll Be Doing

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils thrive both inside and outside the classroom by:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
• Encouraging confidence, independence, and social development.
• Supporting children with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support and interventions.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed.
• Celebrating progress, big and small, and helping pupils reach their full potential.

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
