Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a patient and creative tutor to provide targeted maths and core academic support to primary pupils in Sefton. This part-time role offers 5-15 hours per week and starts in October 2026, continuing on an ongoing basis.

You will deliver tailored primary maths tuition, reinforce number skills, times tables and problem-solving, adapt plans to learners’ needs and monitor progress, with prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred and a willingness to obtain required

Qualifications

• QTS, PGCE or equivalent relevant teaching qualification desirable
• Experience working with primary-aged pupils
• Good knowledge of primary Maths and the national curriculum
• Previous tutoring, teaching or intervention experience
• A patient, flexible and engaging approach

Essential Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
