The Windmills Junior School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team, supporting learning in the classroom and assisting small groups or individuals with focused activities planned by the teacher. The role also requires mid-day-meals supervision, first aid, and administering medicines when needed.

We value a positive, calm, flexible approach and a commitment to safeguarding. Applicants should have good literacy and numeracy and experience with primary-aged children is desirable

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a primary school and working with children is desirable but not essential.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills to GCSE level or higher are essential.
• Be willing to work as mid-day-meals supervisor and provide first aid/medicine administration as required.

Responsibilities

• Support learning in the classroom and take small groups or individuals for focused activities planned by the teacher.
• Assist with midday supervision and supervise children during lunch.
• Provide first aid and administer medicines to children in your care.
