Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a caring, patient and dedicated Primary SEND Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils with SEND and EAL on a 1:1 basis in a Blackpool area school. Starting November 2026, the role runs for the 2026/27 academic year with potential for a permanent position in 2027.

You will work closely with the class teacher to help pupils access the curriculum, develop communication skills and build confidence and independence, with personalised support tailored to

Qualifications

• Providing consistent 1:1 support to Key Stage 2 pupils with SEND and EAL needs.
• Experience supporting primary-aged pupils with SEND and EHCPs is desirable.
• Patience, adaptability and proactive approach to helping children overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to KS2 pupils with SEND and EAL.
• Support pupils with EHCPs to access learning activities and targets.
• Adapt learning resources in collaboration with the class teacher.
