Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Blackpool, Lancashire for the 2026/27 academic year. The role involves 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with complex SEND and general classroom assistance within the EYFS.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider staff to implement tailored strategies, encourage independence and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting non-verbal pupils with ASC on a 1:1 basis.
• Experience in Early Years (EYFS) setting.
• Ability to engage pupils and support communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with ASC.
• Support learning and engagement through individualised strategies.
• Collaborate with SENDCo and school staff to implement support plans.
• Assist with general classroom activities in EYFS when appropriate.
• Maintain observations and contribute to pupil progress reviews.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
