Job summary

Queens Medical Centre, part of Fuller and Forbes Partnership, seeks a Practice Nurse to join a GP team. Role includes immunisations, wound care, health checks and chronic disease clinics. Based at a main site with occasional travel to a branch. Handover with GPs, ANPs and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.

Must have NMC registration and strong infection control knowledge. 37.5 hours per week, with opportunities for professional development and CPD within primary care.

Qualifications

• NMC registration is required.
• Experience in primary care setting preferred.
• Experience with chronic disease management desirable.
• Proficient in immunisations, wound care and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment room nursing care including wound management and vaccinations.
• Run long-term condition clinics for asthma, COPD and diabetes.
• Carry out health assessments, ECGs and blood pressure monitoring.
• Implement treatment plans with the wider team and review care plans.
• Administer vaccines according to national immunisation schedules.
• Deliver health promotion and preventive care, including sexual health services.
• Supervise trainees and support learning.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with GDPR and use EMIS.
• Oversee infection control protocols and PPE, and participate in audits.
