Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Health Care Assistant to support a GP practice in Market Rasen. You will assist the clinical team with routine duties, patient observations and day-to-day treatment room activity.

You will manage patient flow, perform clinical checks, support with phlebotomy if trained, document accurately in the clinical system and contribute to high-quality patient care in a structured primary care environment.

Qualifications

• Proven HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy experience is desirable but not essential.
• Comfortable performing clinical observations and documenting results.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for recording in the clinical system.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures and routines.
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and health promotion support.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
