Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an Alternative Provision Teacher for a specialist primary school in Salford, supporting pupils with SEMH, ADHD, autism and trauma. This full-time role starts September 2026 and offers a competitive daily rate.

You will plan engaging lessons, adapt methods to meet diverse needs, monitor progress, and collaborate with support staff to help vulnerable learners re-engage with education.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience with SEN/SEMH/Alternative Provision settings is desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilient, patient, and adaptable approach.
  • Passion for supporting pupils facing barriers to learning.

Teaching Personnel is recruiting an Alternative Provision Teacher for a specialist primary school in Salford supporting pupils with SEMH needs, ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, attachment needs, and behavioural difficulties. Many students have experienced barriers within mainstream education and benefit from smaller class sizes, personalised learning, and strong support networks.

We are looking for a teacher who can build trust, motivate students, and create positive learning experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning needs.
