As a Pricing Support Analyst, you'll be responsible for tendering, negotiating, validating, and accepting fixed price supply agreements for Sustainable Energy First clients. You'll build and maintain supplier relationships to manage query resolution and escalations while coordinating activity between clients and suppliers to facilitate the smooth transfer of supply contracts and proactively manage any late registration reimbursements.
In this role, you will be:
- Responsible for tendering, negotiating, validating, and accepting supply agreements for Sustainable Energy First clients, including offer assessment, entry, negotiation, and feedback received on tenders.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best price for clients. Track the market to support negotiation and timing.
- Engage with Procurement specialists and account managers.
- Manage offer entry, assessment/evaluation, and validation prior to client acceptance.
- Ensure offer/tender feedback is received from suppliers and keep clients updated.
- Run prompt acceptance processes in line with Sustainable Energy First procedures and requirements.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships, understanding products and industry developments to proactively resolve client/supplier contract queries.
- Coordinate activity between clients and suppliers to facilitate registration and transfer of supply contracts per company processes.
- Ensure the process for automatically obtaining live dates from suppliers functions correctly and resolve any issues promptly through dialogue with relevant suppliers.
- Proactively manage late registration reimbursements, ensuring prompt and satisfactory completion and payment of claims to clients.
- Investigate issues related to the transfer of supply contracts, liaising with clients and suppliers to resolve and record activity through Fusion.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers, peers, and clients to resolve queries, solve problems, escalate complex issues, and highlight key concerns.
- Ensure accurate data entry into Fusion, aligned with company processes and requirements.
- Provide regular updates to the Procurement Management Team, including MI reporting.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate effectively with clients and suppliers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
- Familiarity with Fusion is desirable but not essential.
- Good knowledge and/or experience of the energy industry, particularly energy supply, is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to tender, negotiate, and accept supply agreements.
- Ability to resolve client/supplier queries proactively and promptly.
- Good analytical skills and numerical aptitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team-oriented with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including energy suppliers and clients.
- Effective planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
