Job summary

MacGregor Black partners with a leading business to recruit a Pricing Controller based in Wembley. The role combines governance, strategy and leadership to drive pricing decisions that optimize margin and growth.

You will lead cross-functional pricing initiatives, develop pricing models and mentor a team of analysts, while collaborating with finance, category and data teams to deliver measurable commercial impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Pricing, Commercial, Revenue Management or Analytics roles.
• Experience in Retail/Wholesale/FMCG/Consumer Goods environments.
• Ability to balance sales growth with margin optimisation.
• Experience building pricing models and scenario planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing governance across Commercial, Category, Finance, Supply Chain and IT.
• Develop and implement pricing and promotional strategies balancing growth and profitability.
• Partner with Category teams on pricing, KVIs and supplier-funded initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance to model pricing scenarios and assess margin impact.
• Work with Data & Analytics to enhance pricing models, reporting and performance measurement.
• Engage with Supply Chain to align promos with stock and operations.
• Lead, coach and develop Pricing Analysts and foster high performance.
• Champion pricing process improvements and ROI across pricing activities.
• Represent Pricing in senior trading meetings and cross-functional groups.
• Support adoption of new pricing tools and ways of working.
