Qualifications

• Experience operating press brake machines or similar metal fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment, including vernier calipers, micrometers, steel rules, and tape measures.
• Good mathematical skills with the ability to perform basic calculations and interpret dimensions and tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve basic production issues.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality components to specification.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment, including manual handling of materials and standing for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to manufacture metal components in accordance with engineering drawings and production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to ensure accurate manufacture.
• Select and install the correct tooling, dies, and machine parameters for each production run.
• Measure, inspect, and verify completed components using appropriate measuring equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Make machine adjustments as required to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
• Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance, reporting faults or defects promptly.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area in line with 5S standards.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining high levels of quality, efficiency, and minimal waste.
• Work collaboratively with Team Leaders, Programmers, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement activities.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and process efficiency.
