Tandem Personnel are recruiting an experienced Press Brake Operator for a busy engineering and manufacturing team in Ipswich. This hands-on role requires setting and operating Press Brake machinery and reading engineering drawings.

Candidates should have solid experience with sheet metal, be able to work independently and produce accurate drawings, and be available for the late shift. Pay is up to £18 per hour, with a 37.5-hour week.

Tandem Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a busy engineering and manufacturing team. This is a hands‑on role, so you will need to have good experience setting and operating Press Brake machinery and be confident working from engineering drawings.

The role

• Setting and operating Press Brake machinery
• Working with different types and thicknesses of sheet metal
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Making adjustments to the machine when required
• Working to quality and production standards
• Following health and safety procedures

About you

We are looking for someone with solid experience setting and operating a Press Brake. You will need to be confident working independently and producing accurate work to drawing.

You will ideally have:

• Previous Press Brake setting and operating experience
• Good understanding of engineering drawings
• Experience working with sheet metal
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work accurately and independentlyA reliable and flexible approach to work
• Availability to work the late shift

Pay: Up to £18 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
