Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join a busy UK fabrication team. You will produce high-quality sheet metal components, operate press brakes and ensure parts meet specification and finish standards.

The role requires reading drawings, setting up brake press machinery, maintaining tight tolerances and adhering to health and safety procedures. A strong hands-on background with metalworking equipment and a commitment to quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with sheet metal in fabrication/manufacturing.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools.
• Competent in operating brake press machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
• Commitment to safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, templates and work instructions
• Cut, form, bend and assemble sheet metal using press brakes and other hand or power tools
• Set up and operate brake press machinery safely and accurately
• Trim, deburr and finish components to required tolerances
• Perform dimensional checks and quality inspections throughout production
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area and comply with health and safety procedures
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet delivery schedules
