Job summary

Atkore International in West Bromwich is seeking an experienced press brake setter to support our growth. You will set and operate press brakes, program machines, and ensure parts meet quality drawings while maintaining 5S in the area.

The role requires teamwork and a proactive approach to safety, with opportunities for training, a pension, life cover, and employee benefits. Working hours are 39 per week on rotating shifts, with onsite parking and a UK-wide commitment to Health & Safety.

Qualifications

Previous experience of setting press brakes.
A good knowledge of Press Brake operation.
Able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards.
Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values.

Responsibilities

Set and Operate Press Brakes and ancillary equipment
Program press brake and make changes to settings in line with quality drawings
Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate
Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced
Keep production and quality related records up to date
Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
Performs Other Duties as Assigned
