Job summary

Siamo Recruitment a division of Siamo Group is seeking a Press Brake Technician to set up and operate press brake machines for metal fabrication in line with engineering drawings. You will read drawings, select tooling, measure components, and maintain quality while meeting targets.

Qualifications

• Experience operating press brake machines or similar metal fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment (vernier calipers, micrometers, steel rules, tapes).
• Good mathematical skills with ability to interpret dimensions and tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving for production issues.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to manufacture metal components per drawings and production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and SOPs to ensure accurate manufacture.
• Select and install tooling, dies, and machine parameters for each production run.
• Measure, inspect, and verify finished components using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance; report faults.
• Adhere to HSE requirements; keep a safe, clean, and organised workspace (5S).
• Meet production targets while maintaining quality, efficiency and minimal waste.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders, Programmers, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues and support CI.
• Support CI initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity.
