Alliance Personnel is seeking a dedicated Brake Press Setter/Operator for one of their clients in Cannock. You will set up, operate, and maintain brake presses to form sheet metal components to exact specs.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, reading technical drawings, and safe working practices. You will contribute to production quality, meet deadlines, and work with daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge required.
• Ability to operate brake presses and set up tooling.
• Able to interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions.
• Proficient with hand tools for adjustments or minor repairs.
• Basic math skills for measuring parts and calculating dimensions.
• Knowledge of safety standards in metalworking environments.
• Effective communication within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up brake presses by selecting appropriate tooling and adjusting machine parameters from detailed work instructions and technical drawings.
• Operate brake presses to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components with precision.
• Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Perform quality checks on finished parts using basic measurement tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Document production activities and report discrepancies to supervisors.
