Job summary

Laser Expertise is seeking an experienced Press Brake Setter to join their fabrication team in Stapleford. You will set and operate CNC press brakes, interpret engineering drawings and produce folded components to tight tolerances.

In this hands-on role you will select tooling, perform first-off checks, measure parts with verniers and angle gauges, and maintain safety and cleanliness on the shop floor. The ideal candidate has proven CNC bending experience and a meticulous approach.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Press Brake Setter / Operator.
• Experience setting and operating CNC press brakes.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience selecting tooling and programming or adjusting machine settings.
• Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
• Good understanding of fabrication processes.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Laser Expertise is looking for an experienced Press Brake Setter to join our growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can confidently set and operate CNC press brakes, interpret engineering drawings and produce high-quality folded components to tight tolerances.

Working within a busy fabrication environment, you will be responsible for setting machines, bending a variety of materials and ensuring all work meets the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter / Operator.


• Experience setting and operating CNC press brakes.


• Confident carrying out bending operations on a range of materials and thicknesses.


• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.


• Experience selecting tooling and programming or adjusting machine settings.


• Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.


• Good understanding of fabrication processes.


• Excellent attention to detail.


• Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar press brake machinery.


• Counterbalance Forklift Licence.


• Crane or lifting equipment experience.
