Job summary

Manpower UK Ltd are recruiting for a Press Brake Operator / Setter in West Sussex. This permanent role offers a 40-hour week and a competitive salary within a well-established sheet metal manufacturer producing precision components.

You will set and operate Press Brake machinery, read engineering drawings, select tooling, and perform quality checks to meet tolerances. A strong focus on safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating and/or setting Press Brake machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience within a sheet metal, fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Select and install tooling for production runs.
• Produce components to required quality standards and tolerances.
• Carry out dimensional and visual inspections of finished parts.
• Work with a variety of sheet metal materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Ensure production targets are met whilst maintaining high quality standards.
• Follow health, safety and quality procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
