Job summary

ADCAM Fabrications is seeking an experienced Press Brake operator to set and run Amada machines, read engineering drawings, and select appropriate tooling. You will bend and form components to tight tolerances, verify with gauges, and adjust settings to maintain quality while meeting customer requirements.

Maintain safe working practices and collaborate with the team to achieve daily targets. The role requires prior Press Brake experience, strong attention to detail, and British citizenship due

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate Amada Press Brake machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Select and set the correct tooling for each job.
• Carry out bending and forming operations to required specifications and tolerances.
• Check completed components using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Make adjustments to machine settings where required to maintain quality.
• Ensure components meet drawing and customer requirements.
• Work efficiently to production schedules and priorities.
• Identify and report any quality or production issues.
• Carry out basic machine checks and maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Follow all company health & safety and security procedures.
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production targets are achieved.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Previous experience operating and setting Press Brake machines.
• Experience using Amada Press Brakes.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of measurements, tolerances and component specifications.
• Ability to work accurately and independently.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong awareness of health & safety within a manufacturing environment.
• British citizenship, due to MOD contractual/security requirements associated with the role.

Desirable

• Experience within a sheet metal or fabrication environment.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and angle gauges.
• Experience working with a variety of materials and thicknesses.

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:30pm
