Job summary

Tilbury Douglas in Exeter seeks an experienced Project Manager to join our Infrastructure team, overseeing pre-construction across the South West Water framework. Hybrid role with regular Exeter attendance and travel across the SW region, reporting to the Framework Pre-construction Lead.

You will coordinate programme, design, commercial, risk and stakeholder requirements to deliver buildable, compliant, and commercially robust solutions as projects move toward construction.

Qualifications

• Experience managing pre-construction projects from concept to handover.
• Experience leading multiple projects (£2m to £50m) in infrastructure.
• Strong capability coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supply-chain partners.
• Knowledge of design management, estimating, planning, procurement, risk and change control.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Water-sector, NEC contract, two-stage or framework procurement experience is advantageous.
• HNC/HND or degree in engineering/construction/project management; professional body membership

Responsibilities

• Own allocated pre-construction projects, confirming scope, deliverables and governance.
• Develop execution plans, programmes, resource forecasts, logs and change records.
• Lead client and stakeholder engagement, chair meetings, coordinate PSC/ECI activities.
• Coordinate input from design, estimating, planning, commercial, procurement and supply chain.
• Drive commercial control, risk management and handover of project information.
