Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Infrastructure team in Exeter and the South West Water region. You will oversee pre-construction from concept through to handover, coordinating design, estimating, planning, procurement and stakeholders while ensuring programmes, budgets and governance align with framework requirements.

The role is hybrid, requiring regular Exeter attendance with travel to sites across the region.

Qualifications

• Proven project-management experience within construction or infrastructure.
• Experience leading multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
• Strong coordination of multidisciplinary teams, consultants and supply-chain partners.
• Knowledge of design management, estimating, planning, procurement, commercial principles, programme management, risk and change control.
• Strong client, stakeholder and organisational skills.
• Water-sector, NEC contract, two-stage or framework procurement experience is advantageous.
• An HNC, HND or degree in engineering, construction or PM is desirable, with relevant professional body membership.

Responsibilities

• Own allocated projects through pre-construction, confirming brief, scope and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain execution plans, programmes, resource forecasts, risk logs and change records.
• Lead client and stakeholder engagement, chair project and gateway meetings, coordinate PSC/ECI activities.
• Coordinate input from design, estimating, planning, commercial, procurement, digital engineering, sustainability, operations, consultants and supply-chain.
• Drive commercial control, risk and opportunity management, construction readiness and handover of project information.
