Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment in Plymouth seeks a Precision Tooling Engineer for a market-leading manufacturer. You design, fabricate and commission new jigs and fixtures to support production and repair tooling, jigs, and machine parts, while contributing to new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £60,736 (inc night shift), plus a bonus scheme, overtime, 33 days holiday, pension and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship as Mechanical Fitter, Machinist, or Toolmaker or NVQ/BTEC Level 3.
• Proficiency in CNC lathe, CNC mill and surface grinding.
• Experience in AutoCAD, 3D modelling or Inventor advantageous.
• TIG/JIG welding experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and commission new jigs and fixtures to support production processes.
• Maintain production tooling, jigs and fixtures.
• Support new product introductions, ensuring equipment and processes meet operational requirements.
• Analyse tooling issues and root causes, developing effective PPM and TPM activities.
• Record all maintenance activities within the CMMS.
• Day shift, 7am to 3pm.

In this role your duties will include repairing press tooling, jigs, fixtures, and machine parts, create and commission new jigs and fixtures, assist with new product introduction, implement continuous improvement techniques,

The Role:

• Design, fabricate, and commission new jigs and fixtures to support production processes.


• Responsible for maintaining production tooling, jigs, and fixtures


• Support new product introductions, ensuring equipment and processes meet operational requirements.

• £19.21 - £21.96 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
