Job summary

Veeam is seeking a proactive Systems Engineer to join our pre-sales team in the UK. You will translate customer objectives into technical requirements, deliver compelling presentations, and drive the technical evaluation phase for Veeam solutions.

You will engage with end users and partners, conduct POCs and hands-on labs, and collaborate with Product Development while traveling across the UK & Ireland. A strong virtualization background and cloud knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pre-sales IT role.
• Experience deploying Veeam solutions.
• VMCE/VMCA certification would be advantageous.
• Deep experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) and associated technologies.
• Working knowledge of public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Working knowledge of Office 365 and Salesforce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Engage with end users and partners to translate business objectives into technical requirements.
• Deliver presentations and demos to varying levels of decision makers, virtually and in person.
• Lead the technical evaluation stage of the sales process as a main technical advisor for Veeam solutions.
• Provide pre-sales assistance including POCs, Hands-on Labs, and Bootcamps.
• Record and maintain engagement activities in Salesforce CRM.
• Collaborate with Veeam partners and training teams to build relationships.
• Support lead generation activities like events and webinars.
• Provide customer feedback to Product Development and Engineering.
• Collaborate across teams on initiatives to increase efficiency and long-term value.
