Job summary

Cisco seeks a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join our team, focusing on UK Regional Government in the North of England. This field-based role partners with business and technical leaders to tailor Cisco’s Networking, Security, Observability, Collaboration, Compute and AI solutions to public sector needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of technical, customer-facing experience, preferably pre-sales.
• Experience in at least two areas: Enterprise Networking (Switching, Wireless, Routing); Network Automation; Cloud/Datacentre; Security; Observability.
• Ability to work autonomously and own tasks/workstreams.
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology trends and market drivers.
• Excellent written and verbal English with strong storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate Cisco solutions into actionable, strategic plans for UK Regional Government.
• Lead technical presentations and demonstrations to customers and partners.
• Develop multi-architecture solutions spanning Networking, Security, Observability, Collaboration, Compute and AI.
• Support customers with Bills of Materials and RFP/RFI responses.
• Keep knowledge up to date with industry trends and Cisco portfolio acquisitions.
