Job summary

Village Hotel Sheffield is opening a brand-new property and needs a proactive Maintenance Manager to take ownership of the plant, facilities and safety from day one.

You will lead the pre-opening commissioning, build a maintenance team, manage contractors, and ensure faultless operation across guest rooms, public spaces and leisure facilities. This is a hands-on leadership role with substantial plumbing and electrical responsibilities and a strong focus on cost control and compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on maintenance experience is essential, including plumbing and electrical work.
• Strong leadership and team-management capabilities are required.
• Ability to commission a new build and establish preventative maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening setup and commissioning from January, including plant inspection and handover sign-offs.
• Establish contractor relationships, negotiate service contracts, and manage parts inventory and costs.
• Direct and motivate the maintenance team after opening to maintain high standards of safety, reliability, and guest satisfaction.
