Pre-Construction Manager

Role Overview: This is a unique opportunity to shape how complex engineering projects are won and delivered within a growing infrastructure team. The role involves overseeing estimating, bid writing, and business development to expand the company's sector presence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing and overseeing technical estimations alongside experienced estimators.
2. Creating compelling bid submissions to win projects through insightful and clear proposals.
3. Engaging in business development activities such as visiting clients, exploring new sectors, and building long-term partnerships.
4. Managing your own sales pipeline using a CRM system from initial engagement to contract closure.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong understanding of building services (MEP), especially in infrastructure projects.
• Personable, articulate, and confident in client interactions.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to position bids effectively.
• Willingness to travel nationally (mainly Midlands and Southeast), approximately 2–3 days per week.

• Location: Near Derby, with national travel required.
• Salary: Up to £75,000, plus car allowance, private healthcare, and other benefits.
