Job summary

Preventx is seeking a Pre-Analytics Team Leader to support day-to-day laboratory operations by coordinating pre-analytical staffing and workloads, monitoring team performance, and promoting staff wellbeing and engagement.

The role involves an 80/20 split between substantive work and team leadership, with 37.5 hours per week on a rotating 7am-7pm schedule. This is an excellent development step into people management while maintaining core operational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a laboratory environment with an understanding of pre-analytical workflows.
• Experience supporting colleagues, training staff or supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out staff performance reviews using objectives, performance data and documented examples.
• Create and maintain pre-analytical laboratory rotas based on requirements, staffing levels and competency needs.
• Manage sickness reporting and attendance communications with the Laboratory Operations Manager.
• Escalate underperformance, productivity concerns and operational risks to the Laboratory Operations Manager.
• Ensure timely communication of rota changes and operational priorities.
